- Starting as a researcher and assistant at the International Institute for Sustainable Future (IISF) based in Mumbai with offices (Global Futures Network) in New York, working under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Mayur, well-known international environmentalist, from 1998 to 2002, Roshni had the opportunity to travel to several countries and places within and outside India and assist in conducting research as well as capacity building programs at all levels – from field workers working in eco-village projects to researchers on tribal medicine and management of high-profile companies.
- During her tenure at IISF, Roshni was program coordinator for 4 major events – an international conference on sustainable architecture organized in collaboration with Rachana Sansad in 1998; an International Conference on Energy and Environment, organized by IISF and BSES, 17–19 August 2000, Mumbai with energy and environment experts from around the world and the United Nations; organized a 100-member delegation for the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) under the Global Futures Network (GFN), Johannesburg, South Africa, 26 August - 4 September 2002; and an International conference on Sustainable Mobility for the International Institute for Sustainable Future (IISF), Mumbai, India, March 2003.
- Thereafter, as part of Rachana Sansad, she has organized and participated in numerous seminars, workshops, capacity building programs and Training of Trainer workshops. An abridged list is provided here
- As a qualified Master Trainer for the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), she has conducted perhaps the largest number of training programs in India by an ECBC Master Trainer. Details are here
