• As Head of Rachana Sansad Institute of Environmental Architecture (RSIEA) from 2003 to 2017, Roshni Udyavar Yehuda was involved in developing the academic program and syllabus along with a team of expert faculty members for one of the first one-year part time postgraduate diploma courses on Environmental Architecture (2002 – 2006) and then a 2-years Master’s Program (2006 to 2017). The program was constantly upgraded to suit the evolving demands of the architectural profession and the need for environmental conservation over 15 years of its existence. More than 250 students graduated from the Institute with specialization in Environmental Architecture
  • The Rachana Sansad's Institute of Environmental Architecture under the leadership of Ms. Yehuda conducted short-term courses, long-term courses, seminars, training programs and workshops for professionals and non-professionals on environmental design and related subjects on various subjects pertaining to Environmental Architecture.
  • Through RSIEA’s Research & Design Cell, Ms. Yehuda was involved in the planning and design of several projects covering the areas - Ecotourism, Environmental Awareness, Dahisar River Restoration, Environmental Improvement Plans, Charolette Lake Revitalization – planning and implementation, Matheran, Drainage Improvement in slums of Mumbai and Rainwater Harvesting including ‘Harvest to Harness’ annual rainwater harvesting competition. The RSIEA under the leadership of Roshni Yehuda, spearheaded the project of ‘Developing a roadmap for the implementation of Energy Conservation Building Codes in Maharashtra’ from 2013 to 2015 in collaboration with the Urban Development Department (UDD) and Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), Govt. of Maharashtra funded by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF), New Delhi and with technical support from CEPT, Ahmedabad.
  • Roshni was also part of a team that was sponsored by USAEP to study green building in the US in 2006 and which then collaborated to develop the ECOHOUSING ratings - green building technical criteria for Pune and Mumbai in collaboration with International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC), Science & Technology Park (STP), Pune and USAID.
  • RSIEA partnered with local, national and international institutions such as National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Centre of studies in Resources Engineering (CSRE), IIT Bombay, Environmental Management Center (EMC) & Biodiversity Conservation of India Ltd. (BCIL) and corporates such as Godrej Interio, H&R Johnson (India) Pvt. Ltd., ACC Ltd., New York University, Eindhoven University and others.
  • RSIEA was empanelled with on the Committee for Sustainable Village Tourism in Sindhudurg of the Government of Maharashtra as well as with the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), Pune for Consultancy on ECBC and Green Buildings, since May 2016.
