An artist’s home and studio in the verdant hills near Jampulpada, Pali, the design involved considering local terrain, building without disturbing site levels, an internal courtyard built around existing trees on site, water management. The unique design components include use of filler slab for reducing use of cement concrete in roof, courtyard for internal open space, stack ventilation and night time cooling, bamboo partition walls, pine wood roof, recycled bottle and used tyres as fillers in wall construction and use of old timber doors and windows.
