Dr. Roshni Udyavar Yehuda is a recognized leader in the field of environmental architecture and is the founding principle of the firm. Her research and grassroots work at the International Institute for Sustainable Future (IISF), Mumbai and New York (1998 - 2002) has formed the basis of her global approach to environment sustainability. Under IISF and the Global Futures Network, she organized a delegation of more than 100 to the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2002.

From 2003 to 2017, she headed the Rachana Sansad’s Institute of Environmental Architecture, a postgraduate department of the Academy of Architecture, Mumbai, which conducted postgraduate courses in Environmental Architecture. Here, she led a team of experts and co-thinkers to prepare a unique curriculum in the subject training more than 500 architects in this field. While here, she initiated and worked on numerous environmental and social awareness projects including the Dahisar River Restoration Project, Sawantwadi Ecotourism development, Restoration of Charolette lake in Matheran, Fishing Village at Navabaug, Vengurla, ‘Harvest to Harness’ Rainwater Harvesting Competition, Capacity building for professionals through education in ‘Building physics and energy simulation’ in collaboration with Bureau of Energy Efficiency and USAID’s ECO III Project. She was leader for the project of ‘Developing a roadmap for the implementation of Energy Conservation Building Codes in Maharashtra’ by the Rachana Sansad’s Institute of Environmental Architecture in 2013-15 in collaboration with the Urban Development Department (UDD) and Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), Govt. of Maharashtra, Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT), Ahmedabad sponsored by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF), New Delhi.

Trainer for Sustemy, Sustainability Education Academy, Australia, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM GEM Maharashtra Chapter and Advisor, Science and Technology Park Pune; Principal Investigator for Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India Research Project on Energy Efficient and ECBC-compliant opaque wall assembly (2017 – Ongoing); She is a qualified Master Trainer and Empanelled Expert on the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) of India awarded by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE-UNDP-GEF) in February 2015

Roshni has a Ph.D in Resource Management (‘Structural Configuration and Thermal Behaviour of Buildings’). She has travelled widely on projects and paper presentations. She is committed to local and global sustainability through creative educational and professional initiatives, and appropriate technology, with an emphasis on equity, scientific thought and ecological values.
